ITALIA MODENA D-MAN BARITONE REVIEW
Electric Guitar by 'Italia'
It feels that Italia could do better with Modena D-Man Baritone, but still, this is a useful musical instrument. You should really give Modena D-Man Baritone a chance if you feel that this is a right instrument for you in this moment in time.
Agathis body
Maple "center lock" bolt on neck
Rosewood fretboard
22 med. jumbo, 28" scale frets
pickups: 2 wilkinson humbuckers
2 volume, 1 tone, 3-way toggle controls
Chrome hardware
Wilkinson ez lock tuners tuning keys
Some say that the average is golden, and maybe that is true for Italia's Modena D-Man Baritone as well. There are musicians who would like to see more features on Modena D-Man Baritone, but Italia felt that Modena D-Man Baritone provides enough features for a given price and the market that Italia shoots for. Perhaps there are better equipped guitars then this one, but Modena D-Man Baritone will deliver for what it's built for.
Another great sounding guitar from Italia such as Modena D-Man Baritone surely stands shoulder to shoulder to it's previous models, and to top guitar models of other musical instruments manufacturers as well. Plugged into most amplifiers this guitar will deliver the kind of tone you'd expect from an instrument of high class. Effortless hardware setup will have you playing your tone in no time.
It seems that Italia didn't go with too much effort into producing a guitar like Modena D-Man Baritone. Finish feels a bit cheap if you look closely, and the instrument is not so promising while held and played. As with any other guitar, you have to take some time to get used to it, and it may seem that that period of getting yourself comfortable with new instrument is a bit longer with Modena D-Man Baritone.
If you're happy with Italia's Modena D-Man Baritone overall performance and characteristics, you can consider it to be a replacement guitar for your gigs. Even if used as only guitar Modena D-Man Baritone will perform, but don't overrate it and always try and find a backup. It is a solid guitar that will last long and perform well if you treat it right.
