Vulcan X is a basic model of the newly-established Vulcan series which draws heavily on the Vertigo shape heritage. In fact, Vulcan is a Vertigo redesigned for younger generations of metal guitarists. The line also features Deluxe and Elite JP class models, all six-stringers. Vulcan X starts off with a solid, double cutaway body made of alder. Due to price range and model class, Vulcan X has a flat, unbound top. Also, there are no pickguards. Black, snow white and dark metallic grey are color options in which this model is available. All color options are finished in gloss. The bridge section consists of a tune-o-matic and a stoptail bar combo. The bridge is plated in chrome and features six saddles. Pickups on Vulcan X are two high output humbuckers in both bridge and neck positions. They are controlled through a simple layout of master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch. The neck is made of maple and is bolted to the body. The fingerboard is made of standard material, rosewood and features 24 jumbo sized frets and a set of centered white dot position inlays. 25-1/2" scale, 16" fingerboard radius, 1.625" wide composite nut and die-cast tuners complete the specs for Vulcan X.
