Pro models made by Fernandes are located above the X level, but still below the Standards. The purpose of these models is to give the players an insight into what would it feel to play an upscale Fernandes. Supreme playability and construction quality are present on the Pro models, but it`s the upscale hardware and mahogany that are missing. Instead, Fernandes uses alder as the body wood and licensed Floyd Rose bridges for the tremolo-equipped models. Body of the Vortex Pro is a standard one with streamlined fins with contoured edges. It is made of alder and it features the licensed Floyd Rose bridge on the top. Fernandes high output humbucker and Sustainer are featured in the pickups compartment. Maple neck is topped with a regular 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
