2012 Limited Collection Relic Esquire is a tribute to the model which preceded the Broadcaster/Nocaster/Telecaster models. Basically, it has the same shape, but instead of two, it only has one pickup, slanted bridge pickup. The Esquire hit the scene in 1950 and the next year it received the neck pickup and got renamed to Broadcaster. The rest is history. This one starts off with a lightweight ash body with a single cutaway and flat top. It is available in white blonde with pinstripe and nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This flat top bodied Esquire features no binding around the top. The Bridge is a vintage Telecaster bridge with brass saddles and "tray" plate. The bridge is plated in chrome as the rest of the hardware. The only pickup, since this is an Esquire is a slanted bridge single coil pickup, a Twisted Tele bridge pickup. It is controlled with master volume and master tone knobs. The neck is made of maple with a C contour and bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of maple and equipped with 21 6105 sized frets, black dot position inlays, 1.65" wide micarta nut and 9.50" radius. This is a new model for 2012 and it was represented at the NAMM Show. The MSRP for 2012 Limited Collection Relic Esquire is set at $5,600.00.
