American Professional series aims to bring more versatility and more high quality options to the American range of Fender`s catalog. It brings sixteen exciting new models, nine guitars and seven basses. Distinctive features shared by all (or most) Professional models on both sides f the range, include V-Mod pickups (modified versions of Vintage series pickups, loaded with Fender`s proprietary mix of AlNiCo alloys), modified neck profiles (electrics have Deep C, Jazz Bass models Slim C, Precisions `63 P profiles), posiflex reinforcement rods in the neck and fluted tuners. Additionally, every model family and each model within it have their own unique Professional features. American Professional Jazz Bass Fretless starts off with a flat-top, offset Jazz Bass body, made of alder. It is paired with a Slim C-shaped neck, made of maple. The neck also features a pair of composite material reinforcement rods (Fender names the material posiflex) and a standard 4-bolt joint (with micro tilt). It is topped with a fretless rosewood fingerboard with painted fret position markers, 1.5" bone nut and side dot markers. Hardware & plastics appointments include a regular HiMass bridge (top-load and string-thru variants are available), black plastic pots and 3-ply parchment/mint green pickguard. Two Michael Bump-designed V-Mod Jazz Bass single-coils comprise the pickups combo. Two volume knobs (they also act as a pickup switch/blend) and master tone complete the electronics unit.
