Washburn`s Parlor series is currently six models strong, with four regular steel-string parlors and two parlor-sized resonator models. All six are fully acoustic, electronics are not even available as options. Prices hover in the $300-$650 region, making the Parlor series available to the widest range of players.
WP55SNS starts off with a non-cutaway parlor body, short 24-3/4" scale, 12th fret dovetail neck joint, gold-plated hardware, and genuine late 19th/early 20th-century styling. Natural is the only available color option. Main construction features include rosewood back, koa sides, koa soundboard (white binding, abalone rosette), mahogany neck, and 18-fret rosewood fingerboard (1.73" bone nut, Fancy 1890 inlays, white binding).
Other notable features include quarter-sawn spruce bracing, rosewood bridge, and open-gear tuners.
