Fender`s acoustic side of the catalog has received a total of nine new models at 2015 NAMM. Out of nine models unveiled, five of them are banjos, three are acoustic guitars and the remaining one is an acoustic-electric resonator, which clearly signals the shift of focus towards the folk instrument range. Out of five banjos which make up the initial lineup of the revamped Concert Tone series, Premium Concert Tone 59 Banjo is the fleet`s flagship. The mighty 59 comes with a standard-sized banjo body made of walnut back and sides and high quality hardware (this includes the chrome-plated brackets, arm rest and tailpiece, as well as a high quality Remo cover). Bridge section on the top is fit with the said tailpiece (it is bolted to the back side of the top) and a movable maple/ebony bridge. Like its CT brethren, 59 features no electronics (there are no pickups, microphones, preamps or tuners featured on this model). Five-piece maple/walnut neck is fit with a series-standard rounded V profile in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. White pearloid filigree inlays, banjo-sized frets and 1.69" wide bone nut complete the fingerboard. Fender`s planetary tuners wrap up the core features list.
