StingRay is one of Music Man`s most popular creations. It is rooted in 1950`s/1960`s tradition, mixed with the brand`s classic styling cues. The guitar side of the StingRay family, though smaller than its four-string counterpart, has both Music Man and Sterling divisions. The affordable SR50 belongs to the Sterling section. It comes with a solid and offset body, traditional 5-bolt neck joint, dual humbucking pickups, and stock hardware. 3-Tone Sunburst and Black options comprise the color palette. Both have chrome hardware, vintage pickguards, unpainted headstocks, and glossy body finishes. Other notable features include a maple neck (comfortable contour, 4+2 headstock), 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (25.5" scale, dot inlays, 1.65" nut), vintage tremolo bridge unit, and die-cast tuning machines.
