Albert Lee is one of the Music Man`s oldest and most prominent signature artists. His line in Music Man`s catalog currently has two models, with this being Mr. Lee`s Sterling debut model. AL40 is very akin to its Music Man counterparts, offering similar specs and tone. Appearance wise, it is hardly distinguishable from the premium models. Main features include a solid & double-cut mahogany body, bolt-on neck joint, passive electronics, standard 25-1/2" scale, and stock hardware. The color palette has two options - Black and Daphne Blue (gloss finish, vintage pickguard, chrome hardware on both). Other notable features include a maple neck (artist contour), jatoba fingerboard (22 narrow frets, dot inlays, 1.65" wide nut, 9.5" radius), fulcrum tremolo bridge, and die-cast tuners.
