Jeff Loomis of Nevermore is one of the most prominent and most popular signature artists in Schecter`s catalog. His signature models are, along with Synyster Gates` models, the most popular signature guitars with Schecter badge. Their unique design and styling, as well as fantastic tone and quality of build make them very desirable. For 2014, series is being expanded with two new seven-stringers and JL-7 FR is one of them. this solid and double-cut seven-stringer rocks the standard 26-1/2" scale and a wide, but thin set in neck. Body is solid, double-cut and carved on top. It is made of swamp ash, instead of alder, or mahogany (Schecter`s standard tonewoods), which gives the right base for all metalheads out there who want to achieve Jeff`s tone. On the top, hardtail bridge is replaced by an original seven-saddled Floyd Rose bridge. In it`s front, pickups combo is made up of a 57-7 bridge pickup and 66-7 neck pickup. Master volume knob and a three-way toggle pickup switch comprise the controls unit. Maple/walnut neck is topped with a standard maple-made fingerboard with 24 extra jumbo frets and 1.89" wide TUSQ nut. Grover tuners replace the standard set of Schecter locking tuners. MSRP is set at $1,569.00.
