Hellraiser expands the catalog for 2012 in a style which indicates diversification. Brand new Electric/Acoustic Collection is a proof that Schecter becomes much more than metal guitar manufacturer. These guitars, while still able to put almost every solid bodied metal-oriented axe out there to shame, have one more quality, they can play as true acoustics, as well. Hellraiser and Custom variants are introduced and the Hellraiser takes a more extreme stance, naturally. Hellraiser Solo 6 E/A Left Handed comes with a fully hollow body made of mahogany back and sides and a quilted maple top. The top is bound in abalone binding and features an offset triangle shaped sound hole. The bridge on this model is made by Fishman. At first glance, it is a regular chrome plated tune-o-matic with a stoptail bar. But, there is more than meets the eye, as this bridge contains a piezo pickup with a Powerchip preamp. As for regular pickups, this electric/acoustic beast boasts two EMGs, 81 in the bridge and 89 in the neck position. They are controlled through two control circuits. EMGs have master volume, master tone and a three way toggle switch, while the piezo features master volume, master tone (also serves as a coil splitting switch for EMG81) and a three-position mini-switch which selects only piezo, only EMGs or combined signal. The neck is made of three pieces of mahogany and it features a fast contour, set-in joint and an ultra-access cutaway. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and it is equipped with 24 extra jumbo frets with abalone Gothic cross position inlays. Other features include: Schecter locking tuners, 25-1/2" scale and chrome plated hardware.
