Dan Donegan and Schecter Guitars are partners for a number of years now and Disturbed owes a lot o it`s recognizable sound to Dan`s mighty Schecter Ultra guitar. This Ultra has been modified and adjusted according to Mr Donegan`s needs and demands and represents one of the most serious metal axes around. This tuned up variant of Ultra comes with a familiar body shape and neck-through body construction. This type of neck joint aids the tone quality and sustain a lot. Body wings of this model are made of mahogany. There is no binding applied around the edges. Top wood is optional. If present, it is flamed maple put on the wings. Center piece is left in natural color. Neck, which runs through the entire length of the body is made of several laminates of maple and walnut. Bridge section on this Ultra is made up of tine-o-matic bridge and a stoptail bar. They are plated in chrome, as is the rest of the hardware. Most notable piece of hardware besides bridge is the set of six locking Schecter tuners on the headstock. Black Cherry and See Thru Blue Burst are the only color options available. Electronics on Dan Donegan signature Schecter include a combo of Seymour Duncan El Diablo and Custom '59. These humbuckers are controlled through a set of master volume and master tone knobs. Pickups are selected with a three-way toggle pickup switch. Also, these pickups can be split with a push/pull switch. Maple/walnut neck runs through the entire body and it`s topped with an ebony-made fingerboard. It has 22 extra jumbo frets with dot position inlays. Scale on this model measures 25-1/2" in length and the lower cutaway is done with Schecter`s Ultra Access construction.
