Banshee series is a brand new installment in the Schecter Guitars catalog for 2013. It brings straight forward super-strat concept to the table enhanced with some of the signature Schecter appointments. Current situation within the series is that there are two active models. Both are six-stringers with Floyd Rose bridges, but one has passive pickups, and the other has the active. This review is dedicated to the passive Banshee. It comes with a set of Seymour Duncan humbuckers, with JB (SH4) being featured in the bridge position. Master volume, master tone and three-position blade switch. Tone pot has push/pull switch for coil splitting. Bridge section is equipped with a double-locking Floyd Rose tremolo bridge. It is plated in black chrome and matched with a locking nut on the fingerboard. Grover tuners help keep the tuning in check. Body is solid, double-cut and made of alder base with quilted maple top. Top is bound and finished in high gloss. There are two color schemes available: Faded Vintage Sunburst and See-Thru Black. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it`s topped with a standard 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. It has offset dot inlays.
