S2 series is one of the most recent additions to the PRS catalog and is represented with one model in the four-guitar series dedicated towards the celebration of Paul Reed Smith`s 30th anniversary. Full name of the celebratory S2 axe is S2 30th Anniversary Custom 24. This atypical PRS blends some of the most traditional Paul Reed Smith features with modern design and electronics. Solid and double-cut body is made of mahogany back and maple top, just like all the standard models, but also has a flat, beveled top and a more asymmetrical contour. On the top, PRS installs a non-locking tremolo bridge with six adjustable saddles and string-through construction. Pickups combo is made up of two PRS S2 #7 humbuckers with open-coil design. Along with them, PRS installs a control unit made up of a master volume with push/pull switch, master tone and a three-position blade switch. Standard mahogany neck is fit with a pattern contour in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. To commemorate the 30th anniversary, this S2 is also decorated with bird inlays and a special truss rod cover. Locking tuners on the headstock and the classic 25" scale complete the specs.
