Jay Turser`s catalog of electric guitars is based on the classic `50s and `60s design cues and the popular vintage/modern tonal orientation. The VS series was inspired by the heyday of surf music and its most popular guitar models. The current lineup has only three models, two Mustang-like options and one Jaguar-like. JT-MG rocks the "Mustang" body (all-basswood construction, vintage pickguard, no binding, flat top), passive electronics (two slanted single-coil pickups with on-off and in phase/out of phase slider switches), and vintage hardware. The color palette is made up of Sonic Blue, Ivory, and Candy Apple Red options. Other notable features include a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard (22 frets, dot inlays), tune-o-matic bridge (w/floating tremolo tailpiece), and die-cast tuners.
