With seven-string guitars becoming more and more popular among the artists as well as among the fans, it was only natural to include the seven-string guitars into the budget-friendly segments of the market. Thus, for 2015, Jackson is introducing five seven-stringed Soloist models into the affordable X series. SLATHX 3-7 Soloist is one of them, it is a simple, double-cut guitar with a contoured body and neck-through construction. Body of this medium class seven-string features basswood wings on the sides and maple neck in the middle (neck runs through the entire length of the body). A seven-saddled hardtail bridge is featured in the bridge section, while the Seymour Duncan pickups take up both slots in the pickups area. Passive Nazgul and Sentient fill the bridge and neck positions, respectively. Controls unit installed with them is made up of a master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch. Fast slim maple neck features a dark rosewood fingerboard on the top. The fingerboard has 24 jumbo-sized frets, piranha inlays and rolled binding. Long 26-1/2" scale, Jackson tuners and compound 12"-16" fingerboard radius wrap up the specs list.
