Pro Series from Jackson Guitars have received a pair of new recruits for season 2013. These new models come with extended range. One is a seven-stringer and the other is an eight-string axe. Both of them come with Dinky bodies and bolted necks. Pro DKA Dinky 8 is the name of the eight-stringer and it comes with a carved top alder body. Entire body is made of alder and has no top wood, despite being arched on the top. This one comes with satin finish and deep cutaways for easier access to the upper frets. Back side is also contoured for more comfortable playing. Bridge section is the same as on the DKA Dinky 7, it has a hardtail bridge with stirng-through-body construction. It has eight saddles and is painted in black. DiMarzio supplies the pickups for this models. Both the bridge and neck position feature direct mount D-Activator humbuckers. Master volume, master tone, killswitch and a five-position pickup switch comprise the controls unit. Neck is made of maple and it`s bolted to the body. On it`s top, Jackson installs a standard 24-fret maple fingerboard. Tuners are made by Planet Wave.
