Ibanez has introduced three SIX models and three SIR models into the Iron Label range. SIX models come with elegant and luxurious decorations, gold-plated hardware and glossy finish over the gorgeous bubinga tops. On the other side, SIR models are made for players who like more spartan design, black clad guitars with simple hardware features and value performance over looks. SIR27FD is a solid, double-cut guitar with a carved-top body. it is made of mahogany and it is paired with a bolt-on neck. There is no bubinga top on any of the SIR models (including the SIR27FD). On the top, SIR27FD features the seven-saddled variant of the standard Gibraltar bridge. It is clad in black and fronted with a pair of DiMarzio PAF humbuckers. These two come with a series standard controls unit (master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch). Neck on this model is made of three pieces of wood (two pieces of maple with a piece of bubinga between them). It features the bolt-on joint and a Wizard contour in the back. On it`s top, there is a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. It features jumbo frets, 1.89" nut and 15.75" radius.
