Now, here`s what we`d call a head-turner. The new RGDIX7MPB is a living proof that an original idea goes further than the same old one, no matter how many bells and whistles you put on it. The poplar burl top is painted in gorgeous Surreal Blue Burst paint but it is the positioning that makes it stand out from the crowd, as portions of the body remain uncovered showing the simple natural grain of the layered ash base beneath. The headstock is fully covered with a matching decal to complete the theme. Maple and ash used on the body and neck provide a beautiful contrast. RGDIX7MPB starts off with a layered ash body and multi-part maple/bubinga neck (three-piece neck). Nitro Wizard-7 profile is in the back and a 24-fret maple fingerboard sits on top. Jumbo-sized frets, 26-1/2" scale, 1.89" nut and 15.75" radius complete the fingerboard. A set of versatile DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbuckers drives the tone of this beautiful seven-stringer. Volume knob and three-way switch keep it simple in the controls unit. Ibanez Gibraltar Standard bridge II-7 is the star of the hardware section. With a price tag of around $1,000, RGDIX7MPB is expensive enough to offer professional level of quality, yet affordable enough to be within the range of a working musician.
