For thirty years, RG series has stood as a bastion of metal and a banner under which countless legions of metalheads swore their steel-clad oaths. Fast forward to 2016, RG range is bigger and stronger than ever, and is still the backbone of Ibanez catalog. This year`s NAMM has brought a set of six RG series updates and RG655L is one of them. The only left-handed RG unveiled at 2016NAMM is a classic RG infused with modern features. Standard 25-1/2" scale, renowned RG design, Wizard neck and latest generation locking trem bridge promise endless fun. RG655L kicks off with a solid and double-cut body made of basswood (RG`s standard body material) and a Wizard-shaped maple/walnut neck. Flat-top body`s topped with a black RG pickguard, while the 5-piece neck rocks a 24-fret rosewood (1.69" locking nut, dot inlays and 16.90" radius) fingerboard on its top. Set of three DiMarzio pickups installed in familiar H/S/H arrangement provides a huge range of tones and styles, making 655L a great all-round metal guitar. Volume, tone and a five-position blade switch comprise the controls. Modern Edge tremolo bridge and die-cast tuners keep this beast in perfect shape.
