RG652FX is a simple, straightforward RG axe from the Prestige division. It was introduced this January at the annual NAMM, along with the rest of the electric and acoustic Ibanez updates.
RG652FX (FX stands for fixed bridge) is made in Japan, together with other Prestige line models. It starts off with a solid and flat basswood body (the tonewood most strongly associated with classic RG design) and five-piece maple/walnut neck (which is a modern twist on the regular 3-piece Wizard RG necks). 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (with jumbo frets, white dot inlays, 1.69" string nut, 16" radius, 25-1/2" scale) tops the smooth Super Wizard-shaped neck.
RG652FX also features a string-through Gibraltar Standard II bridge, DiMarzio pickups in HH configuration and Gotoh tuners.
