Andy Timmons is one of the most prominent and most important members of the Ibanez Signature Artist family. Throughout the years, his RG series-based signature line has proven to be one of the strongest pillars of this segment. For the NAMM 2015, AT line is being updated with an amazing axe dubbed AT10RP. In it`s essence, it is the AT10P, but with a rosewood fingerboard now. All of the features, options, materials and hardware are the identical, save the fingerboard material. Thus, the AT10RP rocks the classic RG body (double-cut, flat on top) made of alder and a bolt-on maple neck - one of two "bread and water of rock" combinations, along with the iconic mahogany/mahogany pairing. Instead of the standard issue non-locking tremolo, AT10RP rocks the non-locking Wilkinson trem system with string-through construction. DiMarzio is the brand of choice for the pickups department. Andy`s own AT-1 humbucker provides enough strength and warmth for chunky rhythm work, while the stacked Cruisers in the middle and neck positions open up a huge palette of possibilities for adventurous guitar slingers out there. Vol/Tone/Tone set of knobs is a very familiar combination and it`s set against the five-position blade switch (pretty much a standard Strat controls unit). Maple neck is made of a single piece of wood; it`s bolted to the body and has the standard AT contour in the back. On it`s top, there`s the already mentioned 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.
