ASV10A is one of four models introduced at this year`s NAMM as part of a newly formed Artcore Vintage series. This series is, along with the also new-born Artstar Vintage line, Ibanez`s shot at vintage, relic`d and worn guitars. The accent here is on attempting to prove that aged guitars made today do not have to be outrageously overpriced, as sometimes is the case with US brands. ASV, like its Artcore Vintage brethren, is a fully hollow guitar with set in neck, passive Ibanez electronics and top-class hardware. Series` standard Tobacco Burst Low Gloss is the only color option available for this model. ASV10A shares the materials selection with the rest of the series models which results in a maple-made hollow body and mahogany neck. The two are connected through a 19th fret joint. 22-fret rosewood fingerboard sits on top of the neck and features medium frets, block inlays, 1-11/16" nut and 12" radius. Ibanez Classic Elite humbuckers give this hollow double-cut that classic tone jazz players all around the world love and desire. Pickups are passive, topped with brushed covers and accompanied by a standard controls unit (two volume knobs, two tone knobs, three-way switch). ART-1 bridge and deluxe tuners complete this double-cut gem.
