Lean and mean G5655 is one of six models Gretsch has introduced in the 130th Anniversary series lineup this summer. It is one of three models from the Electromatic Collection and the only one without the iconic "f" holes flanking the bridge section. Also, it is the most modern looking of the bunch. Arched back, sides and the arched top are all made of five-ply maple. Laminated maple gives a bright, crisp and penetrating tone, while the spruce-made center block improves the sustain, lowers feedback and allows high gain experiments to the players with a wild streak. G5655T-CB Electromatric comes in Black, Rosa Red and Georgia Green. All three are finished in gloss, decorated with white binding and fit with chrome-plated hardware. Anchored Adjust-o-matic bridge, licensed Bigsby vibrato and the trapezoid tailpiece anchored to the edge of the maple top are members of the bridge unit. G5655T-CB shares the electronics with it`s series mate G5620, as both feature the Black Top Filtertron humbucker in the bridge and Dual-Coil SUPER HiLo`Tron pickup in the neck position. Maple neck rocks the classic set-in joint, as well as the standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with white binding, 12" radius, medium jumbo frets and 12" radius. The MSRP for G5655T-CB is set at $1,199.
