G5623 Electromatic® Center-Block (RED)™ Bono is a semi-hollow guitar with double-cut design and thin body. Due to the center block, which cancels the feedback, but does not smother the resonance of the hollow wings, this pretty little red-clad rocker is able to punch as hard as any solid-body, without having to sacrifice any of the hollow-body perks it has. It`s arched body is completely made of maple and spruce - back, sides and sound board are made of maple, while the center block is made of spruce. This combination, along with the maple neck, gives a bright, sharp and crystal clear tone. Red paint featured on the body, headstock and the back of the neck is countered with white binding and shining chrome-plated hardware. on the arched top, Gretsch installs an elevated pickguard and a two-piece bridge unit (adjust-o-matic bridge and the famous G cutout tailpiece). Pickups department on this double-cut rocker is fit with a pair of standard Filtertron humbuckers with a very simple controls unit - master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Maple neck is set in and features a pretty common back contour in the back. On the top, it`s equipped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with thumbnail inlays and 1-11/16" wide synthetic bone nut. Grover`s deluxe die-cast tuners installed in the classic 3+3 arrangement on the headstock wrap up the specs list.
