Gibson USA is one of the premier brands of electric guitars out there on the market. Their long tradition of exquisite guitars is as compelling as it is flattering. It puts Gibson on a test each and every time they release a new model, whether it will live up to ever-growing expectations of Gibson`s fans, or not. This time around Gibson has prepared an SG series update, it is the SG Original for 2013. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany in it`s entirety. Traditionally, there`s no binding around the flat top, nor there is a top wood cover. Top side is only decorated with a small plastic pickguard. Heritage Cherry is the only color scheme available and it comes finished in high gloss. Bridge section on this model features the standard tune-o-matic bridge with trapezoid tailpiece in the back. '57 Classic humbuckers are installed in the front and Are controlled with Gibson`s standard control unit. Pickup switch is the three-way toggle. mahogany neck is set-in and equipped with the '60s contour in the back. It is topped with a standard 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
