After the removal of Les Paul Custom from USA catalog, Standard has become the pinnacle of the roster. In recent years Gibson USA issues two Standards per year, one "T" (stands for Traditional) and one "HP" (stands for High Performance), each catering to different types of LP fans. Les Paul Standard 2017 HP is outfitted with only the best features and appointments USA range has to offer. It starts off with a two-piece mahogany body (w/ultra modern relief) and AAAA flame cap on top. The state-of-the-art mahogany neck sports slim taper profile and fast access heel in the back and a one-piece rosewood fingerboard on top. Main hardware and electronics features include Burstbucker pickups (w/four push/pull pots and DIP switch), aluminum bridge (w/titanium saddles), G-Force tuners and 1.745" wide zero fret nut.
