Les Paul Tribute models are made to honor Les Paul, his work and innovations he brought to the world of electric guitar. These four pay tribute to different periods of his life and career, and are accordingly named. Les Paul '50s tribute honors the early LPs, Les Paul '60s Tribute hails the rise of the humbucking pickups, '70s Tribute celebrates the era of heavy rock and Future Tribute is oriented towards the young players of today who want to have a part of the Les Paul heritage. Future Tribute comes made of mahogany and maple. Mahogany is in the back, it`s equipped with strategically distributed weight relief chambers. The pattern is the same as on modern LPs. Top is made of two pieces of solid and carved plain maple. This recipe was used throughout the history of Les Paul guitars and continues to be the corner stone of LPs iconic fat and hot tone. Bridge section is a traditional one, it includes a Tonepros tune-o-matic bridge in the front with stoptail bar in the back. Chrome plating is applied over them. In the pickups department, Gibson decided to give each Tribute model it`s own voice and flavor. Accordingly, Future Tribute is equipped with a pair of amazing zebra-coiled '57 Classic humbuckers. These offer slightly vintage tone with modern articulation. Controls unit on this model is a classic one, it comes with separate volume and tone knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Neck is made of mahogany and it sports a modern asymmetrical contour. Better grip and improved speed are the strong points of this set-in neck. Rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets, figured acrylic trapezoid inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" wide corian nut. Steinberger`s gearless tuners are installed on the headstock. Standard color palette is found on this model, as well: Vintage Sunburst, Wine Red, Gold Top and Ebony.
