Grace Potter is one of the newest names in Gibson`s signature artist family with her signature Flying V. This guitar is one of the finest Vs produced thus far by Gibson USA. It comes with a classic body shape and it is available only in color option named Nocturnal Brown, after Grace`s band The Nocturnals. It is finished in nitrocellulose gloss finish. Chrome is the material of choice for the hardware, as bridge and tuners sections are both plated in chrome. Tonepros Kluson tuning machines are installed on the headstock of this V. Body is solid and it`s made of mahogany. It features no top wood covers or carvings, for the V is made for simple and no frills approach. Power and performance are key features of every V. Bridge section is a traditional Gibson installment, as it consists of a Tonepros tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. Pickups on this model are Burstbucker Pro models. Burstbucker Pro lead is in the bridge and Burstbucker Pro Rhythm is in the neck. Master tone and split volume knobs are installed in the controls section. Pickup switch is a three-way toggle. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it features a mortise & tenon joint. It is equipped with a thin V contour in the back with gloss finish. This neck is topped with a fingerboard made of bound chechen wood. 22 frets, dot position inlays and 1.695" wide corian nut complete the fingerboard. Scale measures 24-3/4" in length. This is one of the models set to appear at summer NAMM 2012.
