ES-335 has always been an elegant and classy semi-hollow guitar, but Gibson has seldom treated it with flamed, or quilt tops, like it has treated the legendary Les Paul. In that regard, ES has always been left aside. ES-335 Lemon burst rights that wrong, proudly wearing the super gorgeous AAA grade flamed maple top. It is laminated in construction, as are the maple backs and poplar sides. Solid maple block resides within the body. Cree binding, elevated plastic pickguard and bound "f" holes decorate the arched top. Back is also arched and bound in the matching binding. On the top, Gibson Memphis installs a two-piece bridge unit made up of old buddies, tune-o-matic bridge in the front and his best pal stoptail bar in the back. These two old geezers can hod the tuning and intonation in check as good as any newcomers in the bridge arena. Pickups department is treated to a pair of DiMarzio Double Cream DP103 humbuckers for that true 1950s PAF tone. Classic Gibson controls unit accompanies them. Mahogany neck is set in and features a 22-fret fingerboard made of dark rosewood on the top. Set of Grover`s Rotomatics wraps the specs list. The MSRP for this gorgeous ES is set at $3,699.
