Bill Kelliher Halcyon Les Paul by Gibson
Gold w/Black Burst

Bill Kelliher of Mastodon is one of the recent additions in Gibson`s signature artist family. His debut model was one of the mightiest Explorers ever made, the famous Golden Axe. Now, for 2015, Gibson USA and Bill Kelliher are back with an even more brutal axe. This time, the classic single-cut Les Paul shape is chosen. Bill Kelliher Halcyon Les Paul is the official name of this brutal axe. Solid and single-cut body is made of mahogany back and a two-piece top made of plain maple. Mahogany base is fit with the modern system of weight relief chambers strategically placed to both ease the burden on the player`s shoulders and improve the tone. Top is bound in creme and finished in gloss lacquer (rest of the body and the back of the neck, as well) and rocks the standard two-piece bridge unit with gold plating and top-load construction. Lace Dissonant Aggressor humbuckers in the front have the upgraded controls unit, as both volume knobs have push/pull switches for coil splitting. Two tone knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch complete the controls unit. Mahogany neck is attache to the body through the classic mortise & tenon joint. On it`s top, there is a thick, one-piece rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, trapezoid inlays, creme binding, 12" radius and 1.695" wide tektoid nut. Classic headstock is fit with a set of Grover Keystone tuners and a plastic truss rod cover with "Halcyon" printed over it. The MSRP for this brutal LP is set at $2,499.
