Les Paul Standard is the flag bearer and the most representative model of the Les Paul series. Ever since it`s introduction in 1958 and re-introduction in 1968, Standard has set the bar and has been used as a measure of what is and what is not a luxurious LP. For 2015, Standard is loaded with new and improved features. Solid low density mahogany body is equipped with the modern weight relief system, while the AA flamed maple top features extra carved profile. Creme binding and the elevated pickguard are also there. Standard is available in Heritage Cherry Sunburst Candy, Tobacco Sunburst Candy, Trans Amber Cherry Back Candy, Honey Burst Perimeter Candy and Wine Red Candy. All are finished in high gloss and all have chrome-plated hardware. Standard bridge unit is fronted by Burstbucker Pro pickups (lead in the bridge and rhythm in the neck) with an enhanced controls unit (volume knobs are fit with push/pull switches). One-piece mahogany neck has an asymmetrical slim taper contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. 12" radius, trapezoid inlays and 1.795" wide brass nut complete the fingerboard. Gibson`s G Force tuners are featured on the headstock. The MSRP is set at $3,759.
