In 2015 Gibson USA catalog, Les Paul Plus is one of three intermediate alternatives placed between the affordable Studio and the luxurious Standard. It is the one closest to the Studio. Less Plus comes with a medium density mahogany back and a B+ class flamed maple top. Mahogany base is fit with the modern weight relief chamber system, while the top features all of the decorations found on the more expensive models. Both the creme binding and the elevated pickguard are featured. Fireburst, Desert Burst and Heritage Cherry Sunburst are available color options and they all come with gloss finish and nickel-plated hardware. Two-piece bridge unit is fronted with a pair of `57s. Classic is in the neck position, while the Plus is in the bridge. Two volume knobs, one tone, two-position mini-switch and the regular three-way toggle pickup selector make up the controls. Mahogany neck is rounded in the back and topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with a 1.79" brass nut, trapezoid inlays and 12" radius. The headstock is fit with a set of Gibson`s G force tuning machines (newer version of the not-so-popular Min-E-Tune system). The MSRP is set at $2,099.
