A couple of years after the introduction of Les Paul model into the catalog, Gibson also introduced the Junior. It was a model made to compete with Fender`s affordable guitars. One single-coil pickup, flat top construction and stripped down styling were Junior`s hallmarks. 1958 Les Paul Junior Double Cutaway VOS is an exact replica of the 1958 double-cut Junior. It`s body is made of mahogany, it`s flat on top and it features a set in neck joint. TV Yellow color is taken from the original model and is the only one for the current 1958 Junior. Neck on this one is made of mahogany and it sports the standard '50s contour. On it`s top, there`s a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. One P-90 single coil pickup is installed in the bridge position.
