Throbber is a line of vintage-styled electric guitars in ESP`s Standard section of the catalog. Currently, it is populated by two models and Throbber STD is one of them. It comes with a solid and single-cut Telecaster-shaped body made of alder and bolted V-shaped maple neck. On the top of the flat alder body, Throbber STD features a classic hardtail bridge with chrome plating and string-through-body construction. In it`s front, there are two humbucking pickups (very rare feat for a telecaster-like guitar). Both are made by ESP`s Custom Lab and are controlled through a simple controls unit (master volume, master tone and a three-position blade switch). 22-fret fingerboard installed on the top of the maple neck is made of rosewood.
