Throbber is a small, two model series in the ESP Standard section of the catalog. It deals with slightly vintage-styled guitars with single-cut design based on the classic Telecaster. Throbbers are made primarily for players who aim for that big, mighty rock tone with smooth rhythm and spacious leads. Throbber is the basic model of the series and the perfect example of what this line is all about. It comes with a solid and single-cut body made of alder back and quilted maple top. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it comes in both the U and V contours (depending on the player`s choice). Pickups on this one are made by ESP Custom Lab. Maple neck is topped with a 22-fret maple, or rosewood fingerboard.
