Snapper series aims at the traditional Stratocaster fans, as well as players who want a little extra from their Strat. 22 and 24-fret fingerboards are standard features on Snapper six-strings, ESP or Seymour Duncan electronics (depending on the model, even the ESP Designed pickups can be found on a Snapper) and top class build quality are featured on these modern/vintage Strat guitars. Snapper AS is a brand new model for 2016. It is a part of a five-piece ESP Original Snapper series lineup and is the only one with swamp ash body.
ESP Snapper AS is an exclusive guitar with supremely versatile tone and unreal playability. The body of this exclusive six-string is made of swamp ash in its entirety and is paired with a bolt-on maple neck. 22-fret maple fingerboard covers the hybrid-contoured neck (U shape at the nut, which morphs into V down the neck). Jumbo-sized frets, dot inlays, compound 9.50"-12" radius and 1.65" bone nut are standard fingerboard features for all ESP Original Snapper models without a locking tremolo.
Pickups section boasts a set of three ESP Custom Lab pickups (passive, in HSS configuration) with standard controls. ESP Flicker III tremolo bridge and locking Gotoh tuners wrap it up for this stellar six-string Snapper.
