LTD Slayer 2012 is a brand new signature Slayer guitar made in honor of one of truly gigantic metal albums of the '80s, the South Of Heaven. This landmark effort from Slayer shaped many a guitarists over the years. And today, it gets it`s long deserved dedicated guitar. LTD Slayer 2012 is a solid, double cutaway guitar made of alder body and maple neck. The top of this axe is flat with an ergonomically shaped bass side of the bottom, where the picking arm rests against the body. Being a theme guitar, this LTD features a black basic paint with South Of Heaven-inspired custom graphics. Bindings and pickguards were omitted due to the graphics. In the bridge section, a reliable and sturdy option is chosen, it is a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction. This beast is driven by probably the most sinister active pickup combo out there, the EMG81/85. They are controlled and manipulated through master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch. The maple neck received a signature treatment with it`s ultra thin U contour. It is bolted to the body. Fingerboard is made of ebony and features white binding. 24 extra jumbo sized frets with inverted pentagram inlays and Slayer logo at the 12th fret complete the visual theme. 25-1/2" scale, ESP tuners and black nickel hardware complete the specs for LTD Slayer 2012.
