Gary Holt`s signature series made by ESP has been unveiled at 2015 NAMM show. This is a line of straight forward, no compromise, no nonsense metal guitars with classic/modern badass design and the robust EMG tone (LTD GH-200, the lowest model in the lineup, features ESP Designed passive pickups) which largely shaped the face of thrash metal as we know and love it. GH-600 is the middle one of three models (ESP Gary Holt Signature competes in the top tier, while the LTD GH-200 aims at inexperienced young players longing for a proper metal guitar). LTD GH-600 features a specs list strikingly similar to the one of the exclusive ESP Gary Holt model. Solid and pretty hefty mahogany base is covered with an elegantly carved maple top with red binding around the edges (Black Gloss with plain black hardware and red binding replaces the gorgeous Liquid Metal Lava color scheme) offers a bit of the elegance and glitz of the ESP tier, carefully rationed not to jeopardize or outshine the flagship axe. Floyd Rose bridge and EMG`s 81/89R pickups combo are found on the top. It is, presumably, a Floyd Rose special (ESP site does not specify 1500, 1000, or special) with a locking nut at the opposite side of the 24-3/4" scale. Two volume knobs (one of them is fit with a push/pull switch) and a three-way toggle pickup switch make up the controls. Slim, U-shaped mahogany neck is the same one as on the ESP model, as is the ebony fingerboard (locking nut, 22 extra jumbo frets, split block inlays). Grover tuners are among the biggest differences between these three.
