Through decades of touring and recording with mighty Exodus and his recent works with the cult Bay Area thrashers, Slayer, Gary Holt has built a reputation of a superior thrash metal guitarist. Ultra violent riffs, furious solos and inhuman precision and reliability have always been penchants of his style. For 2015, Gary joins ESP with three models in the series` initial lineup. The standard roster consists of an ESP Gary Holt Signature, LTD GH-600 and LTD GH-200 models (a vast majority of signature artists have started out with the same signature series layout). ESP Gary Holt, as the series top model, is fit with an exclusive set of features and specs. Based on the suave Eclipse, ESP Gary Holt is made of solid and massive mahogany back and a beautifully carved maple top. Red binding around the edges and Liquid Metal Lava paint job on the top (also, the rest of the body, back of the neck and the entire headstock feature the mesmerizing lava theme) make it crystal clear that this infernal six-string is not for the weak. Supremely stable and reliable Floyd Rose bridge on the top keeps the tuning and intonation in perfect check, while the EMG 81/89R combo with characteristic firetruck red covers (Gary`s Schecter signature V models had the same pickups) guarantee an inexhaustible supply of pure, unrefined EMG madness. Two volume knobs, push-pull switch (yes, for the softer and cleaner tones, if needed) and a three-way toggle pickup switch are found in the controls unit.
