GUS-200EC is one of four signature models ESP has introduced into the Gus G`s signature line for 2015. The master axeman behind the recent Ozzy Osbourne albums, as well as entire Firewind catalog, is one of the most enduring members of the glorious ESP signature artist tribe. New lineup focuses on Star and LP body shapes and the 200EC is the LTD version of Gus`s signature ESP Eclipse. Style-wise, the only sure signs you`re holding an LTD, instead of the ESP are the LTD badge on the headstock and the bolts on the neck joint (ESP version has the popular set-through joint). Other than that, these two are visually identical, rocking the same satin black paint with pearl binding, black hardware and white humbuckers. 200EC has a basswood-made body, instead of the mahogany and the active Duncans are replaced by a set of passive ESP Designed LH-150s. They give a decent enough tone, reminiscent of the original ESP Gus G EC. Master volume knob and a three-way toggle switch make up the characteristic controls unit. Bolted maple neck is fit with a fast and smooth U profile in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. LTD tuners on the headstock complete this affordable little rocker.
