Grass Root series in ESP and LTD catalog tries to revive the spirit of the 1950s and 1960s, the Jurassic period of electric guitar. Thus far, ESP has introduced only two models into the LTD section of the series and the C-EXP is one of them. This is the closest one can get to the original Explorer without buying a Gibson. Solid and single-cut body of the G-EXP is extremely faithful to the original 1950s Explorer. It comes in black with a big white pickguard and glossy finish. Standard two-piece bridge unit features the top-load construction and is fronted with a pair of active humbuckers with the classic Explorer set of controls. Bolted maple neck is topped with a standard 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
