Limited Edition Wildkat Koa is one of the most interesting semi-hollow axes Epiphone has released in recent years. It was released together with Limited Edition Les Paul Custom Pro Koa, the solid-bodied half of this dynamic duo. This interesting Wildkat comes in with gold-plated hardware, natural-colored body and neck, black plastic parts and white binding. There is no info on the price, but it is expected to be around $700. Limited Edition Wildkat Koa starts off with a small single-cut body made of mahogany back, sides and center and figured koa top. Top is bound in white, as are "f" holes and fingerboard (the headstock is not bound). The neck is made of mahogany and it features 1960s slim taper D profile in the back. On its top there is a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood (pearloid dot inlays, 1.68: wide string nut, 12" radius). Pickups installed in the bridge and neck position are Epiphone`s own legendary P-90 single-coils with "dog ear" casings. They sport gold-plated covers and a specific controls unit (close to modern Gretsch semis and hollowbodies in configuration). Other major features include a Bigsby-equipped bridge section and Grover tuning machines.
