Dedicated to the celebration of late Les Paul`s 100th birthday, this Limited Edition LP is outfitted with only the finest Epiphone has to offer. For starters, The carved-top body is made of a mahogany base with a carved mahogany/flamed maple top (mahogany top on the Cherry finish, AAA class flamed maple on the Natural). Five-layer black/creme top binding is found on both variants. Cherry option features the classic Top Hat knobs, while the Natural variant rocks the smooth Black Speed knobs.
The neck on this anniversary LP is, of course, made of mahogany. Slim Taper D profile in the back promises great performances and ease of use. Fast rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets sits on the top. It is equipped with medium jumbo frets (Epiphone`s standard and possibly the most widely spread fret size around the market), 1-11/16" wide string nut, special block/triangle inlays and 12" radius.
In the electronics section is where this magnificent LP shines the most. Bridge position is equipped with the Probucker 3 humbucker, while the neck position rocks the Probucker 2 pickup (the entire Probucker line was inspired by the original Seth Lover`s PAF pickups found on the late 50s LP Standards and Customs). They`re coupled with a classic set of 500k pots (two volume knobs,two tone knobs). Three-way toggle switch completes the controls unit. LockTone`s tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar make up the bridge section. Grover Imperial tuners keep the strings in perfect order. Other premium features include 24K gold plating on the pickup covers, bridge, tuners and the truss rod cover.
