Ace Shimizu (of the Seikima II and Face to Ace fame) is one of the local Japanese guitar heroes and an important Caparison signature artist. Currently, this is his only signature Caparison in active production. It rocks classic Double-Cut LP/PRS-inspired design, versatile electronics and high-end hardware. Angelus-Ace SE is a short-scaled (24-3/4") six-stringer with a carved top body and glued-in neck. Mahogany back and 5A flamed maple top comprise the body, while the neck is made solely of mahogany. The fingerboard on top of the neck features 24 jumbo frets with custom designed inlays and 1.69" locking nut. Caparison`s PH-R/PH-F humbuckers have two volume knobs, individual coil-split switches and a three-way selector. Unrecessed Floyd Rose bridge and Gotoh tuners (all plated in gold) complete the specs list.
