Warwick`s Rockbass brand`s models are being produced in China and they represent the low end of the catalog. Unlike the majority of the sub-brands from other manufacturers, this one holds the quality at the top of it`s league, despite being a "budget-friendly" brand. In recent years Rockbass has been gaining in popularity and Warwick has even extended some of the signature series into Rockbass section. For 2013 Warwick is introducing several new and very interesting models into the Rockbass lineup and mighty Vampyre Darklord is one of them. It is definitely an instrument with commanding presence and supreme tonal characteristics. It comes as a fretted four stringer in both the right and left-hand variants. Body of this model is made of alder, it`s solid, flat and double-cut. It is available only in black color with high gloss finish. Bridge section is equipped with a classic Warwick two-piece bridge with top-load construction. Pickups are active and made by Warwick`s MEC. Bridge pickup is a humbucker and the middle one is a single coil. Maple neck is bolted to the body and features ekanga stripes. It is topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with no inlays. Warwick tuners, chrome hardware and 35" scale are also featured on this model.
