Vintage Modified series is a line of both guitars and basses in Squier range of Fender catalog. This series is made up of many four, five and six-stringers which combine modern and vintage specs along with high build quality and low prices. Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass V is one of the most popular models in the series and it is being refreshed for 2013. In this current incarnation it costs $399.99. It is available in three color options: Black, 3 Color Sunburst and Crimson Red Transparent. Both of them come with glossy polyurethane finish and chrome-plated hardware. Body of this five-string bass is made of agathis, instead of basswood, which are series main body wood options. Solid and double-cut, body of this model is flat on top and it`s equipped with a standard set of appointments. On it`s top, there`s a black pickguard. Vintage-styled bridge is fit with five adjustable saddles and is fronted with two Fender-designed pickups. Master tone, bass boost and two volume knobs comprise the controls unit. C-shaped neck is made of maple and it is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of maple. Five vintage-styled tuning machines are featured on the headstock.
