Icon series has been around for a full decade, and has evolved into one of the main pillars of Carvin (now Kiesel) bass catalog. In its current incarnation Icon line consists of three models, a 4, a 5 and a 6-string model (this one). Neck-through-body construction, offset bodies, 24-fret fingerboards and hybrid electronics are some of the Icon series` hallmarks. IC6 is the six-string Icon model, the biggest and fattest of the three. In its basic form IC6 rocks alder body wings, all-maple through-body neck and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. However, players willing to spend more than $1,619 (IC6`s basic price) can order alternative tonewoods, colors & finishes, hardware, electronics and inlay options. Stock hardware and electronics include A-style Hipshot bridge, passive/active Kiesel Radium pickups and Carvin tuners.
