American Standard Hand Stained Ash Precision Bass is coming up with a solid, double cutaway body wrapped into the iconic shape of the P bass. It is made of ash wood and it features a marvelous satin lacquer finish done in two variants. One is wine red and the other is mahogany stain. Both feature gloss finish on top. Traditionally, there are no body bindings or top wood covers. Classic pickguard, one of Precision`s trademark features is still there, it`s done in three layers of plastic, black, white and black, again. The bridge is a vintage-styled high mass bridge with four saddles and chrome plating. There are two options, as it can be done with a string-through or top-load construction. Pickup combo features only one split humbucker in the middle position made by Fender. This P pickup is controlled through a simple layout of master volume and master tone knobs. Neck on this Precision Bass is made of maple and equipped with a standard Fender C contour. It is bolted to the body with a set of four bolts. Both rosewood and maple fingerboard options sport 22 medium jumbo frets, dot position inlays, 9.50" radius and 1-5/8" wide string nut. 34" scale, chrome hardware and Prosiflex graphite neck support rods complete the specs list. The MSRP for American Standard Hand Stained Ash Precision Bass is set at $1,599 for both the wine red and mahogany stain variants.
