American Professional series is the new flagship line of the American range. Its roster is made up of two main sections, electric guitar and electric bass. These are further divided into model families and individual models. Electric bass section branches into Jazz Bass and Precision models, with four Jazz and three Precision models in the inaugural lineup. American Professional Jazz Bass V is one of four Jazz models and the only five-stringed option among them. Alongside the common Professional series features (narrow & tall frets, V-Mod pickups, posiflex reinforcement rods, bone string nut, etc), it also features Jazz Bass-specific features. American Professional Jazz Bass V is a modern five-stringed bass, made for players who want a more focused, bolder tone. At the same time, thanks to the Michael Bump-designed V-Mod pickups, this extended range Jazz can deliver all the vintage goods. It starts off with an offset alder body, which is offered in four different color options (two with maple fingerboards and two with rosewood fingerboards). Slim C neck is made of maple and it`s bolted to the body. 20-fret fingerboard sits on its top. Fender went for the tested and tried hardware appointments such as five-saddled HiMass Vintage bridge and Lightweight Vintage-Style tuners. Electronics department is equipped with a pair of single-coil pickups, with two volume knobs and one tone knob in the controls section.
